On the significance of new physics in b ? s?+?? decays

چکیده

Motivated by deviations with respect to Standard Model predictions in b?s?+?? decays, we evaluate the global significance of new physics hypothesis this system including look-elsewhere effect for first time. We estimate trial-factor pseudo-experiments and find that it can be as large seven. calculate considering most general description a non-standard amplitude short-distance origin. Theoretical uncertainties are treated highly conservative way absorbing corresponding effects into redefinition amplitude. Using recent measurements LHCb, ATLAS CMS, obtain 4.3 standard deviations.
